build a tenant union

STEP 1: Set a meeting with your fellow tenants. know who owns the building and other property they own

STEP 2: Build trust with each other. make a group chat and be open about rent and housing issues

STEP 3: Make a list of common issues in the building and other properties

STEP 4: Prioritize unity amongst tenants, ex. if there’s a rent strike no one pays

STEP 5: Advocate for equal protection. Some tenants may have the same issues. but support others who are not 

STEP 6: Schedule consistent meetings and talk to your neighbors!
